Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a Bar/Liquor License?

No, the Blue Gentian Lodge does not have a liquor license. What does this mean for you? We allow guests to enjoy their own glass of spirits by the fireplace or in the dining room with a meal we are serving. Please drink responsibly and at your own risk.

What's for Breakfast?

Normally Served: from 8-9am. On the buffet you will find coffee, tea, hot cocoa, juice, fruit and yogurts and a selection of cold cereals. We cook one entree per day such as Scrambled Eggs, Pancakes, Waffles or Quiche. Many mornings there will be fresh baked muffins or coffee cake. On colder mornings we serve our signature hot cereal, a hearty mix of seven grains & seed with dried fruit. Need an earlier breakfast? Tell us the night before, we can adjust the breakfast time a bit earlier if necessary.

Do I have access to the Kitchen?

No, we do not allow guests in the Kitchen. There is a refrigerator at the rear of the dining area for guest to use. Our restaurant/dining area is not open to the public. We frequently serve meals to our guests, therefore; bringing your 'take-out' food to eat in our dining room is not permitted. The guest rooms do not have any cooking facilities.

The Outdoor Pool & Hot Tub

The pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the Hot Tub from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Reservations required.
The Hot Tub is for use by adults 18 and older.

Can I Bring my Dog?

Sorry, No. Your pets will be more comfortable at home. As a courtesy to our allergy sensitive guests, we do not allow pets in any of our guests rooms. Please note, we do have 2 lovely cats, Pokey Underfoot and Lucinda Longtail that occasionally may be seen in the common areas, but they are never allowed in the guest bed rooms.

Smoking Policy

The entire building is a smoke free zone.

How does the solar power work if the power goes out?

We have a 'whole building Generator' in the event the power goes out, we'll still be able to keep you safe and warm. Something to think about when considering where to stay.

Hi Lisa and Ken,
On behalf of PwC and the Consumer Markets Academy Group, we want to thank you both for your flexibility, hospitality, and recommendations during our trip to Blue Gentian Lodge last month. We have received nothing but absolutely phenomenal feedback about the trip, and a lot of that was attributed to the lodge. It was the perfect environment for our group to come together, get to know each other, and have an opportunity unwind from work.

We couldn’t have imagined a better trip, thanks to your expert local recommendations (including the Torchlight Festival), ski information, phenomenal homemade meals, cozy gathering spaces and incredible location. You really went above and beyond to make the trip one of a kind!

We look forward to potentially working together in the future for another fun weekend getaway!

Thank you again for everything.
